Non-Profit Intern
About Us
The mission of Florida Love is to provide love for people in need, to make a difference, and spread love in the Florida community. We partner with other nonprofits, businesses, and individuals to transform the world (with love).
Florida Love is a 501 (c)(3) non profit based in the Palm Beach area, Florida.
We are the creators of the cause “Roses for Change” where volunteers hand out free roses and loving words to people at locations in Florida.
Our weekly show “The Florida Love Show” features guests from organizations like American Cancer Society, ADL, ScentsAbility, Hugs & Smiles Children’s Foundation, Ellie’s Army, and more!
We are growing and are looking to expand our organization!
Requirements
We are looking for enthusiastic interns who love helping their community. Since we are a non profit, this position is non-paid, but experience and school credit (for students) can be gained.
Applicants must have education or experience in any of the following areas:
- Public Relations
- Marketing
- Graphic Design
- Photography
- Video Editing
- Writing
- Journalism
We also require basic characteristics to be a part of our team:
- Reliable and able to attend virtual meetings
- Social media savvy
- Friendly and loves interacting with people
- Team player
- Communicates often and responds quickly
- Has an altruistic and “pay it forward” attitude
Responsibilities
Interns will be working directly with the founders of our Florida Love, other team members, and may interact with other people outside of our organization.
Work is completed online and meetings are held virtually. We will be assigning tasks based around promoting our organization and assisting with operations.
Tasks are assigned based on the intern’s abilities and can include, but not be limited to, any of the following:
- Creating, publishing, and sharing social media content
- Assisting with in-person volunteer events for our cause or fundraising events
- Promoting and assisting with production of our show
- Writing posts and designing media for our websites
- Taking photos and videos
- Talking and interviewing supporters
